Gareth & Andrea
Noordhoek
Gareth and Andrea are getting married in March next year, so we met up one afternoon at the common in Noordhoek for their engagement shoot! I simple love this area…..it's quiet, scenic and so enveloped by nature! There are a few dogs about, walking their 2 legged humans and a few horse riders, but for the most part, we were on our own.

Grant & Lorinda
Kalk Bay
I met up with Grant and Lorinda in Kalk Bay for an earnly morning engagement photo shoot. Soft, flattering light can be lovely early morning, but the light changes very rapidly, so every minutes counts!
Their wedding will take place at Philadelphia's De Malle Meul en route the West Coast. This is an ideal spot for a Sunday lunch or wedding celebration! Rustic and quaint:)

Nick & Lee-Anne
Kalk Bay
An early morning photo session at Kalk Bay Habour, followed by a well deserved cup of Cafe-Olympia coffee. Early morning shoot takes courage ( and setting multiple alarms), especially if you're a night owl like me. I don't often plan morning shoots, but it's worthwhile to arrange around certain locations, like busy harbours and crowded beaches.
Nick and Lee- Anne are getting married on a farm near Prins Albert! I dream of photographing beautiful Karoo weddings, so much excitement around their celebration:)

Hilton & Deidre
Hout Bay
I met up with Deidre and Hilton one rainly morning at a beautiful ruin location, near Hout Bay. Fortunateyly the rain stopped within minutes of our arrival!
East Fort remains an enigma to many tourists and locals. About two centuries ago Hout bay was seen as the underbelly of the Cape and needed fortification, but it's exact historical significance remains unknown.
To modern day folk, it is a lovely picnic area and serves as a "gate way" point to the Table Mountain National Park.
East fort is an historical, international heritage site, linking SA to many foreign countries, but it is not currently protected.

James & Jenny
Bloubergstrand
Jenny and James can be described as ligand and receptor, if you can describe love in terms of neuro peptides! They are a perfect match. I say this, because I know Jenny Buckle and in my opinion they simply "fit" together, a biochemical match.
I also say this because Jenny is the program director of a company called REACH AUTISM and has done extensive research in the field of pervasive developmental gut-brain axis disorders.

Donovan & Terri
Silvermist Wine Estate
Silvermist Mountain Lodge and Wine Estate is situated on the southern slopes of Table Mountain at the top of Constantia nek, with endless panoramic views that overlook the picturesque green vineyards of Constantia Wine Estates and the mountainous Hout Bay.

Darius & Amy
Nooitgedacht Estate
I had the great privilage of photographing Darius, Amy and their beautiful daugher Stella at Nooitgedacht Wine Estate, a premiere wine estate in the Stellenbosch winelands.

Willie & Jo
Gabriels Kloof Wine Estate
Willie and Jo got married at Gabrielskloof Wine Estate, an estate tucked away in the Overberg valley and a mere 75 minutes drive from Cape Town on the N2. The Houwhoek pass on the N2 towards Caledon means passing and stopping at the Houwhoek farmstall to indulge in their home-made treats along the way!

Gareth & Andrea
Asara Wine Estate
Gareth and Andrea celebrated their wedding at Asara hotel & wine estate, outside Stellenbosh. White orchards and chandeliers transformed their already beautiful wedding venue into a timeles, magical and surreal setting.

Stuart & Kerry
Zevenwacht Wine Estate
Stuart and Kerry tied the knot at Zevenwacht wine estate earlier this year. They recited their vows under a free-standing gazebo in the garden of an exquisite Cape-Dutch house overlooking the dam.

Darren & Megan
Simon's Town
Darren and Megan were married at the beautiful little Catholic church of Saints Simon and Jude. Built in 1885, this is one of the oldest churches in the country and has always had strong ties to the navy. On the 3rd of March 2012, 127 years later, people congregated here to witness the marriage of Megan and Darren.

Hilton & Deidre
Misty Cliffs
Hilton and Deidre celebrated their marriage in Misty Cliffs, which is a small seaside conservation village, neighbouring Scarborough and Cape point nature reserve.
I love their unconventional approach; a small atlantic seaboard home as your venue, a hand full of guests and a fabulous roast!
Simple. Natural. Beautiful.

Leo & Sharna
Vredenheim Wine Estate, Stellenbosch
Sharna and Leo had their wedding celebration on a hot summer's day at Vredenheim Wine Estate. They had a Catholic ceremony in Cape Town, before heading out to the venue. A beautiful wedding with a lovely couple, gregarious guests, heartfelt speeches, a sparkling chandelier and a massive green garden with an incredible array of garden flowers and of course, that majestic mountain in the distance.

Grant & Lorinda
Philadelphia, Western Cape
Philadelphia is the most beautiful and historic little doll house town in the Western Cape. The town has managed to sustain its " village in the middle of nowhere" quality, mainly because appearantly most of the land still belongs to the church. This charming little village is surrounded by farm land and is the equivalent of five unpavel streets and about 6 houses in total. It's amazing that it has escaped Capetonians attentions for so long.

Heath & Juanita
Kalk Bay
Kalkbay is one of my most favourite places in Cape Town - it's quirky and vibrant , with cool little antique shops and vintage treasures everywhere and the best ice cream shop in the world called the The Ice Cafe -must have two scoops with a non guilty conscience to embrace the wonderful flavours.

Gert Naude Art Sensation
Greyton
Gert Naude started painting about 15 years ago and has dedicated his passion to the fine arts. He's had 45 solo exhibitions and his work can be seen around the Globe, including USA, Canada and Britain
Settled into his new studio in picturesque Greyton area, he now paints and exhibits locally at the new MILK+ gallery.

Storm Wigget
Newlands
Cecilia Forest lies on the slopes between Constantia Nek and the southern boundary of Kirstenbosch. The trees are a mixture of pine plantation and indigenous species. There are many walks in the area with great views of the suburbs and the southern slopes of Table Mountain!
Storm Wiggit and her two sisters had their photo session in the forest and they were great to work with! Location portraits are fun, informal and definitely more interesting than the grey backdrop of a studio.

Shaperon
Old Biscuit Mill
Shaperons is a Cape Town based company owned by Jaeninne Norris. She wanted some images for her online apron gallery.
We arranged a shoot at the Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, which takes place every Saturday! The people were fantastically friendly and enjoying fresh local produce!
A great location for photography and fresh organic delight!

Carlo & Deidre
Kirstenbosch
Kirstenbosh is the most beautiful and tranquil space to find yourself in! It induces a meditative like state and trascends the spirit.
Deidre and Carlo held their reception at the Silver Tree Restaurant and decided on a fynbos floral theme, which was a perfect choice for this setting. Check list: Protea Cynaroides , 1 Table Mountain slope, a cool summer's breeze to set the scene and you have a simple, beautiful and earthy wedding celebration!
We are so lucky to have the National Botanical Gardens on our doorstep.

Nick & Christine
Kirstenbosch
Nick and Christine have been living in Australia for several years and came home to the southern tip of Africa to celebrate their evergreen wedding with loved ones at Kirstenbosch Gardens. Renowned for it's beauty and diversity of Cape flora, the Botanical Gardens is a magical place, set against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain.

Alex & Tsiona
Groot Constantia
Alex and Tsiona live in Amsterdam. They decided to celebrate their wedding in Cape Town. We spent a quiet afternoon taking their couple photo's at Groot Constantia Wine Estate and a quiet beach in Camps Bay. They had their reception the following day at the Radisson hotel.
