At the base of Devil's Peak lies Rhodes Memorial, built in rememberance of Cecil John Rhodes. He owned a vast area of the lower slopes of Table Mountain, which is now part of UCT and Kirstenbosh National Botanical Garden.
I met up with Stuart & Kerry at this national landmark, which forms part of Table Mountain National Park, for their engagement shoot. The small forest behind the memorial building was a beautiful location for some earthy photo's. Although Pine trees are alien to South Africa, they are beautifully textured and great for photos.
Just up the slopes there is an indigenous forest of Silver trees. Table Mountain is the only place on earth where this majestic Silver tree still grows wild.
I look forward to Kerry and Stuart's celebration, which will take place at Zevenwacht Wine Estate, in a mere two weeks time! They are such a lovely couple, so I really look forward to being a part of their wedding day:)
